One thing that I believe to be true: great art has a good story behind it. I have no idea if this is great art, but it does have a good story.

This piece started out as a “pretty, mechanical flower,” but quickly evolved into something much more, quite by accident. As I was working on the body I saw a mark that I thought could be a little wire. Moments later, there were a whole bunch of them and my pretty flower now looked like it was in need of some serious repair! My mind then started racing with ideas of why that would be, and not long after, I had a full-fledged backstory for the robot, and how it had come to be that it was being chased by a killer bee!

In all seriousness though, I like this piece because it is a reminder to me that “accidents” can turn into something pretty cool if you let them.
